Navigating Learner’s Activity Sheet Experience: A Phenomenological Study

The study explored the lived experiences of learners utilizing the Learner's Activity Sheets (LAS) at Samar National School using a phenomenological approach. The purpose was to determine how Grade 10 students used LAS to enhance their critical thinking and language skills. Results indicated that using LAS significantly improved students' critical thinking abilities, participation, and engagement in class activities, as well as their English proficiency. Learners overcame language-related challenges, built self-confidence in their language abilities, and realized their academic potential. The study also highlighted difficulties and limitations associated with LAS, providing valuable insights for enhancing its effectiveness in language instruction. This research addresses the role of LAS in English language classes, particularly in Philippine public high schools.
