Learning Resources and the Vocabulary Skills of Grade 6 Learners

This study aimed to determine the vocabulary skills of Grade 6 learners. Specifically, it examined the significant relationship between vocabulary skills and the level of utilization and satisfaction with learning resources. This research employed a descriptive-correlation design. A teacher-made questionnaire was utilized to gather data, which were analyzed using frequency counts, percentage, mean, and simple correlation.

Results showed that the level of utilization of learning resources is low, while the level of satisfaction of Grade 6 pupils with the learning resources is high. It was noted that the level of vocabulary skills is not competent. Moreover, there is a significant relationship between vocabulary skills and the level of utilization and satisfaction with learning resources.

Based on these findings, the following are recommended: Learners must be given opportunities to utilize and maximize different learning resources to enhance their vocabulary skills. Schools should enrich their learning resources.
