Abstract

Grab Food has transformed the food delivery scene, becoming an essential part of urban life by offering unparalleled convenience and efficiency. This study investigates the impact of logistic service quality on customer retention within the context of Grab Food delivery services, focusing on Business Administration students at Philippine Christian University - Manila. Food delivery services are increasingly adopted in everyday life. The research study evaluates the relationship between customer retention and 5 key dimensions of logistic service quality— information quality, ordering procedure, timeliness, order condition, and order discrepancy. Using a quantitative descriptive research approach, data was gathered from 163 students via a standard questionnaire with a 4-point Likert scale. As shown by the results, Respondents expressed strong agreement across all five dimensions of logistic service quality. Order Discrepancy, Information Quality, Ordering Procedure, Timeliness, and Order Condition. Customer retention was scored 8.24; hence, it significantly agrees that customers intend to continue using GrabFood. Statistical analysis showed a significant but weak positive correlation between logistic service quality and customer retention. This correlation supports the idea that enhancements across delivery experience indicators positively influence customer loyalty. This means that although service quality impacts customer loyalty, other factors, including pricing, app usability, and personal preferences, impact retention. The study concludes that maintaining customer satisfaction and retention requires constant service delivery, particularly in terms of arriving on time and transparency. Grab Food needs to constantly review and improve its service procedures to guarantee they align with shifting consumer demands and remain competitive.

Abstract

The lived experiences of patients undergoing hemodialysis treatment may vary for different age groups. This study aimed to explore and understand the elderly people’s experiences undergoing hemodialysis treatment. Through the phenomenological approach, 8 participants, male or female, aged 60 years and above who are undergoing hemodialysis from selected hemodialysis centers in the City of San Fernando, La Union were identified using a purposive sampling technique. Face-to-face interviews using a semi-structured format were conducted to collate necessary information. Colaizzi’s method was utilized for data analysis. The study's findings included both positive and negative experiences, as well as coping strategies among the participants. The participants reported positive realizations on hemodialysis as another opportunity to continue life, compliance to dietary restrictions perceived as beneficial to remove unhealthy food from their diet, and financial support from their family and the government. On the other hand, the participants also reported negative experiences such as burden from additional expenses, reduced work capacity and being weaker, and struggling with major changes in their lives. Nevertheless, through their experiences, the elderly people developed coping strategies such as having a support system, accepting their fate, and having faith in God helped them to surpass the challenges of hemodialysis treatment.

Compliance and School Personnel Adherence to Child Protection Policy in a Private Senior High School

Author: Angeline C. Soriano, LPT

Abstract

This study assesses the adherence and compliance of school personnel with the Child Protection Policy mandated by the Department of Education (DepEd), focusing on the training provided and implementation guidelines. Using a descriptive correlational design, the study surveyed 70 personnel from STI College Calamba. Data were gathered through structured questionnaires measuring compliance with training and modules, policy implementation, awareness, and responsiveness. Results indicated moderate compliance with child protection training (M = 3.24, SD = 0.63) and policy implementation (M = 3.20, SD = 0.56). Awareness was generally high (M = 3.60, SD = 0.40), especially regarding bullying, though awareness of the zero-tolerance policy on child abuse was slightly lower (M = 3.46, SD = 0.67). Responsiveness was moderate (M = 3.34, SD = 0.52), indicating the need for improved engagement. Correlation analysis revealed a strong positive relationship between policy implementation and awareness (r = 0.520, p = 0.000) and between implementation and responsiveness (r = 0.739, p = 0.000). Moderate positive correlations were also observed between training and awareness (r = 0.369, p = 0.000) and between training and responsiveness (r = 0.447, p = 0.000). The study concludes that while there is commendable compliance, further enhancements in training delivery, policy dissemination, and stakeholder involvement are necessary. It recommends the establishment of a Child Protection Committee and the development of comprehensive training programs. Future research should involve a wider respondent base to deepen understanding of policy implementation across different educational settings.
